San Diego County Medical Society
TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 2020

Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS:  SDCMS wants to hear feedback from physicians who are seeking Small Business Administration forgivable loans for their practices — on how well the process has worked for them or whether they have had problems and, if so, how significant. The San Diego County Medical Society and California Medical Association continue to aggressively advocate for physicians and their patients at all levels of government during this COVID–19 crisis.

A reminder that this Thursday, April 16, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:30pm is the next weekly COVID–19 Clinical Town Hall Webinar organized by the County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency, and sponsored by the San Diego County Medical Society and the Hospital Association of San Diego & Imperial Counties. This week's webinar will kick–off with a live call–in from a physician on the front lines in Italy, followed by a dedicated physician wellness discussion, and capped by a live Q&A through the chat function. All past participants in previous Clinical Town Halls are already registered. REGISTRATION is required for first time attendees.

Sports Legend and San Diegan Bill Walton is hosting a virtual event on April 25th to benefit victims of COVID–19 and the health care workers involved in their care. ‘Bike for Humanity’ benefits four local charities, including Champions for Health, SDCMS’ non–profit organization which helps medically underserved communities. I hope you'll join and encourage others to participate in this fun and safe event because your support is needed urgently now more than ever to help those most in need in our community during this crisis. As always, let me know if you have any questions!  Paul Hegyi, CEO
