Our office has been contacted by a local physician who reported receiving a phone call from a scammer representing themselves as being from the DEA. This was a major issue five years ago but seems to be returning as a threat. The new rules will be phased in over the coming months, beginning with an update to the coordination of benefits (COB) claims process for Medicare members on November 1, 2025.
