Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS:   Engagement among our membership has been an important value of the SDCMS Executive Committee and to further that I’m excited to announce the relaunch of a revised, robust set of committees. Each committee is an opportunity for members to get more involved, add their expertise, and help guide the direction of SDCMS.  The time commitment should be short, likely meeting once a quarter.  We are currently accepting applications for the following committees: Benefits, Communications, Delegation, Finance, and Membership.  You can apply by sending an email to sdcms@sdcms.org detailing your interest and experience in the subject, and find some information about each HERE.

With the new year comes the new laws passed in 2017 that are relevant to physicians and their businesses.  In the what to read section there is a comprehensive list of these laws that I encourage you to review.

Finally, while the influenza pressure has slowed down slightly, it will continue to be a major drain on our entire medical system here in San Diego.  I encourage you to continue taking emergency appointments where possible and check our homepage at www.sdcms.org where we have a special section that will keep you up to date on daily news, information and statistics.

As always, let me know if you have any questions!  Paul Hegyi, CEO
