Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS:  This past week SDCMS made its annual trip to Sacramento to participate in CMA's Legislative Action Day.  Members took to the halls of the state capitol to educate legislators on physicians and health care policy.  The main focus of the day was to voice our loud opposition to AB 3087 by Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San Jose) that would create state-sanctioned rationing of health care in California.  We also provided insight to legislators about the additional bills CMA is supporting and opposing.  Members can learn about those bills by reading CMA's legislative hot list by clicking here

You didn't need to be at Legislative Action Day to voice your opposition to the radical and dangerous AB 3087.  You can easily inform yourself about the legislation and contact your representative by clicking here.  It is critical the politicians hear from physicians on this issue.  I urge you to join in the fight.

There are only a few weeks until our Annual White Coat Gala.  This is a special evening that provides us the opportunity to celebrate being members and the hard work physicians do each day.  It is also the night we get to hear from our new President about their plans for the future our SDCMS.  If you haven't yet purchased your tickets for this fun evening there are still a few tickets left.  You can click here to reserve your space today.

As always, let me know if you have any questions!  Paul Hegyi, CEO
