Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS: As part of a grant funded through the San Diego HHSA on Academic Detailing for Licensed Prescribers of Opioids, Champions for Health is requesting your participation in an evaluation of CURES 2.0 and Opioid Attitudes among licensed prescribers of opioids. This survey will provide valuable insight into physician prescribing patterns and CURES 2.0 platform usage.

As a practicing physician in San Diego County, Champions for Health would appreciate your input in this brief 10–minute survey. As an incentive, five survey participants will be randomly selected to win a $200 Amazon gift card.

Please complete the survey HERE by March 31st for your chance to win.

Speaking of Champions for Health, their 3rd Annual Soirée is this Saturday, March 19th at 5 PM at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park. Champions for Health is SDCMS’ non–profit organization committed to serving the medical needs of poor and underserved communities in San Diego County. We hope you can attend! Your support is greatly needed so please CLICK HERE for more information or to purchase tickets.

The Ilan–Lael Foundation is offering day long retreats at Ilan–Lael in Julian to thank frontline COVID workers. Healing the Healers Retreats are free to all frontline COVID workers in our community and limited to small groups so that your experience is safe yet intimate. This includes doctors, nurses, aids, custodians, pharmacists — anyone in the medical community that has been working on the front lines of the COVID crisis. It is a day to rest, relax and recharge.

Your retreat day includes; morning coffee and treats, a docent–led tour of Ilan–Lael which is the renowned home and studios of James and Anne Hubbell, art instruction and materials, lunch al fresco, discussion group, and mindful movement and self–care. You can learn more information or reserve a spot HERE.

Allison Yip is a PGY–2 Internal Medicine resident in the Primary Care Pathway at UCSD. She is conducting a research study with Dr. Jill Blumenthal and Dr. Stacy Charat to evaluate how primary care practitioners offer gender–affirming hormone treatment to assess potential gaps in transgender healthcare. This survey is meant for independent practitioners and not resident physicians in training. She has asked primary care physicians only to be kind enough and help fill out this quick Qualtrics survey. Those who complete the survey HERE can receive a $10 electronic gift card to Amazon.com via email, which will not be linked to the survey response.

A reminder that on Wednesday, March 23rd from 6 — 7:30 PM, SDCMS is hosting a FREE webinar in conjunction with The Doctors Company, ‘Understanding Malpractice Risks for NPs, PAs and Supervising Physicians’. This worthwhile webinar is worth 1 CME Credit and I strongly encourage your participation. You can REGISTER HERE and view more information HERE.

As always, let me know if you have any questions! Paul Hegyi, CEO
