San Diego County Medical Society CEO Paul Hegyi discusses his recent trip to Sacramento for the Swearing-In Ceremony for the new Legislature. Paul points out CMA's successful legislative record during the previous Legislative Session and that health care will once again be a major issue for the new Legislature.

San Diego County Medical Society CEO Paul Hegyi discuss his recent trip to National Harbor, Maryland for the AMA's Interim Meeting. He reminds members that if they missed the CMA's important webinar on accessing supplemental Prop. 56 funds that it is available for viewing on the CMA's website. He also highlights the hundreds of helpful publications for physicians that are maintained on the CMA's website and he encourages members to take advantage of this resource.

San Diego County Medical Society CEO Paul Hegyi announces the call for nominations to the SDCMS board and officer positions. He also highlight an important CMA webinar on receiving Prop. 56 funds and a new program from CMA and SoFi which will enable physicians to save thousands on their student loans. Finally, he discusses drug dispensing policies by Walmart and CVS Caremark that CMA is concerned about and monitoring.

SDCMS CEO Paul Hegyi talks about CMA’s annual House of Delegates meeting held October 13 – 14th in downtown Sacramento. Over 500 physicians, medical students and residents from all over California gathered to debate policies related to lowering the cost of health care in California while maintaining physician led practices.
