October 1, 2014 — Are You Ready?

The ICD-10 Implementation Compliance Date Is October 1, 2014 — Are You Ready?

Dear Physician:

ICD-10 will bring significant changes to all physician practices, and, if you're not prepared, you may face significant financial impact, including claim denials, cash-flow issues, and decreased productivity.

Please take advantage of SDCMS's member-physician ICD-10 resources we've compiled below — all free benefits of membership, and let us know if you have any questions.

In addition, ensure your office manager or practice administrator is signed up for SDCMS's online office manager forum — a superb venue for your staff to share ideas, brainstorm solutions, and troubleshoot problems (member physicians welcome to join as well). Click here to join!

Cheers, Tom

Watch Five Pre-recorded ICD-10 Planning Webinars

SDCMS has proudly partnered with the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association (ACCMA) to provide five pre-recorded ICD-10 planning webinars and other materials from ACCMA’s “Charting a Path to ICD-10” program. All of these materials are now accessible through one online portal: Click Here

When you click this link, you will be prompted to set up a free Box.com account if you do not already have one. Box.com is a cloud-based file-sharing service used by ACCMA, and an account is required to monitor who accesses the materials to ensure they are authorized and enrolled in the ICD-10 program. Setting up a free account only takes a minute or two, and, in the future, after setting up an account, you will automatically receive notifications when new materials are posted.

Once you’ve logged in to your account, you will have access to the following:

  • All Five Pre-recorded Planning Webinars, Including Direct Links (no registration or passcodes required)
  • PDF Slides From the Orientation Session and Each of the Five Sequential Planning Webinars
  • Transition Planning Template to Help Create a Plan for Your Practice
  • Cost Calculator to Help You Estimate Costs Related to the Transition
  • Current Principles of ICD-10 Coding, and Other Supplemental Handouts
