NYCU August 28, 2017 September 5, 2017 CMA, Member Social 0 MONDAY, AUGUST 28, 2017 PHYSICIANS: Last week Dr. Bob Hertzka and I had the pleasure to visit a group of UCSD medical students while the took a week (or more) to intern in the State Capitol. With the end of the Legislative year fast approaching, these internships are a great way for students to see how legislative offices actually work. And that practical experiences will surely lead to a lifetime of advocacy throughout their careers. Speaking of major policy issues, the debate in California for single-payer healthcare is heating up again. There are several stories included below to get you up to speed.
