WHAT: This course is for all healthcare professionals who have a basic understanding of the revenue cycle. Insurance companies are establishing a new paradigm that includes denial of all or part of your service, internal audit companies that compel refund requests, and other types of monitoring of your practice. We will discuss a proactive approach to slower payments, loss of revenue, and decreased income.
You will learn to:
- Establish strong front-end policies and procedures to eliminate delays in payment or denials
- Identify payment patterns of insurance companies
- Establish appeal procedures and communications to ensure proper payment
- Understand the payor audit process and learn to defend yourself against a negative audit outcome
